Penn State University along with the Federal and Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agencies have developed an online tool that allows residents to assess their flood risk status.
WTAJ reports the Pennsylvania Flood Risk Tool can be accessed online at pafloodrisk.psu.edu – residents can type in their address and gain access to a flood risk report.
According to the Pennsylvania Flood Risk Tool, Punxsutawney is at a reduced risk of flooding due to a levee, which will be the subject of a study following a recent state grant approval.
