
State Police in Punxsutawney are currently investigating the death of a Brookville woman.
Authorities say a death investigation began around 2:30 on June 26 at an undisclosed location in Jefferson County. The victim is listed as a 58-year-old Brookville woman.
No further details have been released.

State Police in Punxsutawney say there were no injuries reported in a one-vehicle crash that happened in North Mahoning Township of Indiana County on Monday.
Troopers say the crash occurred along Route 119 near Beaver Drive when a deer jumped into the path of a vehicle driven by 33-year-old Scott Phillips of Punxsutawney. The vehicle struck the deer, resulting in disabling front end damage.
Jefferson County EMS and Perry Township Volunteer Fire Department assisted on scene.

State Police in Punxsutawney say that no injuries were reported following a motorcycle accident in Burnside Township of Clearfield County on Monday.
Troopers say the incident occurred along Five Points Road near Glenn Road when a deer ran into the path of a motorcycle driven by 54-year-old Sean Owen of Osceola Mills. Police say the motorcycle skid and struck the deer before coming to a final rest on its side along the shoulder of the road. Police say Owen was wearing a helmet and was not injured.
The motorcycle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
