The totals from the primary election in May were released by the Jefferson County Board of Elections.
They are published in today’s edition of the Punxsutawney Spirit:
Two-year Punxsutawney Borough Council seat – Republican Joshua McAfoos received 313 votes, while Democrat candidate Shannon Murray had 12 write-in votes as she was not on the ballot.
Four-year Punxsutawney Borough Council seat – Republican Justin Cameron received 417 total and Democrat Robert Cardamone had 200 votes.
The general election is November 2nd .
