Last night, the Punxsutawney Area School Board debated the need for a solicitor at every meeting.
In today’s edition of The Punxsutawney Spirit, retainer fees, other costs and districts that don’t have a solicitor at every meeting were the grievances by some board members; Solicitor Dave Young responded by saying: he sacrifices a lot of business that wont go to him because of representing the school district and other legal issues that have come up over the past five years. According to the published report, board agreed to advertise for other attorneys as well as Young to bid on solicitor services.
