State police have charged a Marion Center man with assault for an incident on New Year’s Day.
Troopers were dispatched Saturday morning around 4:30 to a residence along Route 286 east for a report of a domestic dispute. State Police say 33-year-old Jeremy Lute was involved in a physical altercation with his girlfriend, when a 14-year-old girl tried to intervene. Lute allegedly hit the 14-year-old, causing a minor injury.
