Punxsutawney Mayor Richard Alexander proposes a rural regional training facility for first responders in the Borough.
Today’s edition of the Punxsutawney Spirit reports, the Mayor suggested it could be established as part of the police firing range complex and would have virtual reality training as well as a classroom, sanitary facilities and a small office in a double-wide trailer. The published reports says Alexander is putting together three meeting dates, starting March 14th with representatives from IUP, the police instructor for Act 120 and the director of the EMTs.
