The national average for a gallon of gasoline is now $4.17. That surpasses the previous national average high of $4.11, set on July 17, 2008. Pennsylvania is now at $4.31.
Looking at our region: Jefferson, Clearfield and Indiana Counties are averaging $4.22. Clarion County is at $4.20. The most expensive in the country is California, averaging $5.44.
