Lately there’s been an increase in traffic and claims at the Jefferson County Veteran’s Affairs office.
According to The Punxsutawney Spirit, Director Dave Reitz presented an update to the county commissioners last week, saying: “Roughly $7.5 million dollars is coming into the county for direct compensation and pension payments going to veterans,” adding, “…that means we have federal dollars of roughly $7.5 million coming in, paid to veterans and their families.”
Lastly, Reitz said “If you are a veteran and are in need, please come in and see me,”
His office is next to the treasurer’s office on the second floor of Jefferson Place in downtown Brookville.
