State Rep. Mike Armanini (R-Clearfield/Elk) announced funding for a new fire station in the City of DuBois, thanks to a state grant announced Friday.
Armanini said last month’s unanimous decision by the DuBois/Sandy Township Joint Board to pursue a new structure will lead to a larger facility to serve as the main firefighting headquarters for the city. The $900,000 grant, a product of the Office of the Budget’s Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP), will fund the purchase of land and construction of a state-of-the-art fire station complete with meeting rooms, bunk rooms, day facilities, apparatus bays, and training room.
