The Game Commission advises area hunters that licenses for the hunting and trapping seasons will go on sale starting today, and it adds that buying one is “key to getting in on some exciting action.”
The new license year begins July 1 and a it features a record number of bull elk tags, as well as seven weeks of archery deer hunting. Other notable features include the chance to hunt trophy black bears, more stocked areas with pheasants and a firearms deer season that runs the weekend after Thanksgiving.
