The July 4th holiday weekend was another busy one for the Pennsylvania State Police.
Over the four day holiday travel period, troopers investigated 649 crashes, including four in which four people were killed. 170 people were injured in crashes. Troopers also made 515 arrests for driving under the influence and issued more than 24,000 traffic citations, including 8,744 for speeding, 896 for seat belt violations and 294 for failing to properly secure children in child safety seats.
