Days after a man in Ohio was killed in an attack on an FBI office, a western Pennsylvania resident has been charged with threatening federal agents.
Adam Bies of Mercer was arrested for threatening to “slaughter” FBI agents in the wake of the recent raid of former president Donald Trump’s South Florida residence.
The 46-year-old Bies is charged with influencing, impeding or retaliating against a federal law enforcement officer. Bies was arrested after a tip led the FBI to a post on the right-wing social media site Gab, in which Bies said he was going to kill as many agents as he could, and that any FBI agent deserved to die.
Prosecutors are calling for Bies to be held until trial.
