Yesterday at Gobler’s Knob members of the Punxsutawney Area Chamber of Commerce announced the 2022 Business of the Year and the winner of the Contribution to the Community Award.
Renda Radio Punxsutawney General Manager and Vice President of the Chamber Stevette Rosen presented Shileds Insurance with the honor of Business of the Year. Rosen said the family owned, Shileds Insurance has been in business since 1931and contributes to the economic stimulus of our community. Chamber President Katie Laska presented The Punxsutawney Recreation and Respite Club/Camp Friendship with the Contribution to the
Community Award. The club serves those 18 and older in Jefferson and Clearfield Counties who have an intellectual or developmental disability.
They will also have a week of activities at Camp Friendship in Reynoldsville for school-age kids in Punxsutawney.
