A Banks Township woman faces charges related to animal cruelty and neglect for an incident reported on Friday morning.
Pennsylvania State Police based in Punxsutawney say they received a report of two dogs that were tethered outdoors with no shelter. When police arrived along Hemlock Lake Road, they found the two canines with a small wooden shelter for the medium-sized dog, but no shelter or usable bedding was provided for the larger dog. Both were moved to a warm location and provided with food and water.
The suspect, identified only as a 38-year-old Banks Township woman, is charged with two counts each of neglect of an animal, plus three other charges.
