Pennsylvania State Police troopers were kept busy over the Christmas holiday travel period.
From December 23rd through Christmas, troopers investigated 661 crashes, including five in which seven people were killed. Thirty six crashes were alcohol-related, including two of the fatal crashes. A total of 113 people were injured in crashes investigated by State Police.
Troopers made 116 arrests for driving under the influence and issued 451 citations for speeding, 110 for seat belt violations and eleven for not properly securing a child in a safety seat.
