Coach Mike Sullivan says the team rallied around Dustin Tokarski in the net.
Sullivan loves the rugged way winger Jason Zucker is playing.
The coach says defenseman Jan Rutta and his fellow blue-liners are giving it everything they have.

Dustin Tokarski said it was a typical day for a backup goaltender in the NHL.

At the morning skate yesterday, injured goaltender Tristan Jarry skated for the first time since being injured in the Winter Classic in Boston on January 2nd. He suffered an undisclosed lower body injury in that game and Sullvian said yesterday that he is “day to day”, but that his return is not “imminent”. Forward Josh Archibald and defenseman Jeff Petry also skated. Petry has missed 12 games with an arm injury and is eligible to return from long-term injured reserve but not ready yet. Archibald has been out for 9 games and is day to day, according to the coach. Forward Ryan Poehling continues to work toward a return as well and has missed 7 of the last 8 games with an undisclosed ailment.
The Penguins return to action Friday night at home against Winnipeg before a key Metro Division rematch against nemesis Carolina on Saturday night.
