Jefferson County’s Department of Emergency Services held a meeting recently addressing the current EMS crisis.
The Punxsutawney Spirit reports, the Big Run Council discussed the bullet points that were brought to their attention, citing the expense of the training EMTs are required to have and the cost they have to accrue out of pocket,
Another point, according to the published report, is the situation of a medical emergency and the possibility of no ambulance in a given area.
The Spirit adds County Commissioner Scott North is heading up a group that is going to spend a time trying to do something to fix this crisis.
