During the first voting meeting since DuBois City Manager John “Herm” Suplizio was charged for allegedly stealing over $600,000 from the City and the United Way, residents and a former city official voiced grievances and concerns.
Today’s Punxsutawney Spirit reports, the public expressed interest for investigations into the lack of oversite over the affected accounts, the use of public funds for bonuses and Suplizio’s access to the City building.
The council was criticized for their response to the allegations; however the published report adds a resident voiced support for the council. Chris Nasuti was named as the interim City Manager.
