Glen Johnston has been found guilty of third-degree murder in the shooting death of Jude Srock by a Clearfield County jury.
According to WJAC News, the prosecution argued that the shooting occurred during a fight over Srock’s alleged affair with Johnston’s wife, while Johnston’s defense maintained that he didn’t intend to kill Srock. After deliberation, the jury concluded that the killing was not premeditated. Johnston’s attorney, Bill Shaw, expressed satisfaction with the jury’s decision, stating that they were trying to establish that it was not a premeditated act.
In addition to the murder charge, Johnston was also found guilty of several assault-related charges and reckless endangerment. He may face up to 40 years in prison for the third-degree murder conviction alone.
