Indiana Borough Police are investigating an incident that happened at a bus stop Monday morning in the area of Chestnut and North 7th Street.
Shortly before 9 a.m., a student reported that a stranger approached them “in an alarming way” while they were at the bus stop. Officers say the student was approached by a man wearing a hooded sweatshirt and walking a dog, and they attempted to grab the student while saying “come here.” Officers are working with district officials in the investigation, and they are increasing their presence in pick-up and drop-off areas.
If you know anything about the incident, you are asked to report it to Indiana Borough Police at 724-349-2121. Parents are also urged to talk with their children about “stranger danger” and how to react if a stranger were to approach them.
