Officials with the Pennsylvania Game Commission are hopeful that Sunday hunting restrictions will be lifted next year.
For the next two Sundays, hunting will be permitted for anything that is in-season. Game Commission Communications director Travis Lau said that the bill to lift the ban on Sunday hunting passed the State House in June, but remained in the Senate until the session came to an end.
The bill will need to be reintroduced at the next legislative session which starts in the new year.
