The Brookville Borough Council approved the 2025 budget and a one-mill tax increase at Tuesday’s meeting, raising bills by about $2.50.
Today’s Punxsutawney Spirit reports, the council also adopted a LERTA ordinance offering seven years of 100% tax relief on new property improvements to encourage economic development and combat blight. Additionally, they voted to advertise for three full-time police officers and initiate the hiring process.
