A jury has found Danielle Parks guilty of first-degree murder, conspiracy, and evidence tampering in the killing of her ex-husband, Kodey Parks, during a custody exchange last year.
According to WJAC News, Prosecutors argued that Parks and her boyfriend, Bryan Michaelis, planned the murder and attempted to destroy evidence. Parks claimed self-defense, testifying that Michaelis fired the fatal shot. Michaelis faces a separate trial, with jury selection set for April.
Parks will be sentenced within 60 days.
