FOUR FIRE DEPARTMENTS DISPATCHED TO GREEN TOWNSHIP STRUCTURE FIRE

Four fire companies were dispatched Wednesday night for a structure fire in Green Township, Indiana County.

Commodore, Marion Center, Clymer and Cherry Tree fire departments would be joined by the RIT team from Hope fire department at 10:19 at a home on Starford Road. Commodore fire officials said that the initial reports indicated it was a grease fire in the kitchen that had spread to the cabinets.

By the time crews arrived, the blaze was mostly out. Crews were able to finish extinguishing the fire, then pulled the stove out of the building and ventilated the smoke out.
