His teammates have voted Sidney Crosby the Penguins’ MVP for the 13th time in his career.
That breaks a tie with Mario Lemieux for the most ever. Crosby has 27 goals and 54 assists to lead the Pens with 81 points. He was also voted the Players’ Player Award for leadership on and off the ice.
The Penguins will face the St. Louis Blues tonight who are trying to extend a 10-game win streak with a victory. St. Louis has a 41-28-7 record overall and a 21-14-3 record in home games. Pittsburgh is 30-34-11 overall and 11-20-6 on the road. The Penguins have a -51-scoring differential, with 217 total goals scored and 268 allowed.
