Two people from Clymer are now in custody for an assault in Green Township last Sunday. State police say that the two people involved were described as a 42-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman, both from Clymer. Police say the two were arrested following a domestic disturbance call. They were both charged with assault resulting in bodily injury.
State police arrested a Punxsutawney man on charges of DUI. Troopers say on July 22nd, police found a car driven by an un-named 34-year-old man from Punxsutawney involved in a crash at the intersection of Franklin Road and West Creek Road in East Mahoning Township. Police say that he was driving under the influence of a controlled substance that was on view to police.

State police from the Punxsutawney barracks have charged a Cherry Tree man in connection with an incident in late July. Troopers say on July 31st, they were called out to an assault on Stifflertown Road in Burnside Township in nearby Clearfield County. When they got there, they found that the victim, an unnamed 89-year-old Cherry Tree man, had minor injuries.
After interviewing the victim, police placed 67-year-old Wayne Koller into custody. Koller faces felony counts of burglary and criminal trespass along with misdemeanor counts of simple assault, terroristic threats, possession of a weapon, simple assault and reckless endangerment. He was placed in Clearfield County Jail but did make $100,000 unsecured bail. A formal arraignment hearing will be held in Clearfield County Court on September 2nd.
