The state police released more information about the fatal accident that happened on Tuesday night in Covington Township of Clearfield County.
The crash happened along Rolling Stone Road when the 31-year-old driver from Altoona reported she swerved to miss an object on the road and lost control of her SUV and hit a utility pole. A 5-year-old passenger was pronounced deceased prior to arriving at the hospital. The driver and her other passengers, two 10-year-old girls, had minor injuries and were transported to Clearfield hospital for treatment.
Everyone was wearing seat-belts.
