Last Thursday, a man from Port Allegheny gave a Brookville Borough police officer a bong.
Authorities say, around 7:30 pm, they conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near the eastbound “on” ramp of I-80 for having illegal window tint. The officer detected a strong smell of burned marijuana coming from inside the vehicle, when the 19-year-old driver, Jared Mahon reportedly gave the officer a bong. A search yielded a vape pen that was used for smoking cannabis.
Mahon was charged with two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and other summary traffic violations.
