The Brockway Area School District brought in an environmental consultant and has purchased humidifiers in order to head off any mold issues with in their buildings.
Published reports indicate, Superintendent Jeff Vizza told the school board that he brought in Gary Miller, an environmental consultant, to take a look at the district buildings.
Vizza said Miller took a tour of our facility and advised the district on how to treat [mold] and what to do if there were mold to be found. The district purchased 16 dehumidifiers on Miller’s suggestion. Vizza said he is confident that the district is on the right track. Miller indicated their was no current issues, and the district plans to be proactive by utilizing the dehumidifiers and fans.
