A Punxsutawney man was injured Sunday afternoon in a collision between his vehicle and a riding lawn mower on Route 210 in North Mahoning Township.
State police say 34-year-old Shawn Smith tried to pass the mower, but hadn’t cleared it when he re-entered the lane, striking its front end and losing control of his SUV, ending up in a ditch 225 feet up the road.
Citizens Ambulance and Plumville firefighters responded. Smith’s injuries were minor and he did not require hospitalization. The mower’s operator, 33-year-old Kenneth Craig of Smicksburg, was not injured.
