A California man waived his preliminary hearing this week on more than 1,500 charges related to the alleged sexual assault of a child in Clarion County.
According to court documents, charges against 46-year-old David Kenneth Detjen Jr., of San Bernardino, CA, formerly of Fairmount City, were waived for court on Tuesday. Among the eight charges listed are 312 counts of forcible rape and compulsion and six counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, both of those are Felony 1 charges. He also faces 100 counts of statutory sexual assault, a Felony 2.
It all stems from a February 2018 sexual assault investigation by the New Bethlehem Police Department. They say sexual assault allegedly occurred at a residence in Fairmount City between the years of 2009 to 2012.
Charges were filed against Detjen back in mid-May 2018 in front of Magisterial District Judge Jeffrey C. Miller.
Detjen remains lodged in the Clarion County Jail on $100,000.00 bail.
