
A man from Punxsutawney is facing felony assault charges after he allegedly injured two Sheriff’s Deputies who were serving an arrest warrant in Bell Township.
According to ExploreJeffersonPA.com, a Jefferson County domestic relations warrant was being served against 39-year-old Joseph Byler on September 29th around 3 in the afternoon. The published report says Byler was resistant to being taken into custody and reportedly injured both deputies and damaged personal property worn by one of them.
His preliminary hearing is set for November 5th.
