Today, Penelec is conducting a complete blackout in a section of Punxsutawney.
According to Punxsutawney Borough Manager Toby Santik the blackout impacts North Penn Street, East Mahoning Street and North Jefferson. The administrative office and the police department will have no power for any equipment, which meant no phone service.
The outage lasted from 12:30 on Friday afternoon until 6:30 this evening. Good news is the traffic light at the east end bridge will be working.
