The Punxsutawney Spirit has published more details about the fire that destroyed a $200,000 apartment complex along East Liberty Street on Monday afternoon.
The published report cites Trooper Russell Stewart, Fire Marshall, with the Punxsutawney and Elk Run fire chiefs determined the fire started on the front porch by a cigarette that was haphazardly discarded.
There were no injuries, according to the Punxsutawney Spirit; however, the victims had no insurance, and if you’d like to help them, contact the fire department.
