Mornings At PXZ

I have worked “all over the dial” … from my college days at IUP to my first gig at WGLU in Johnstown, PA in the ’80’s to my new “home” at WPXZ 104.1 FM, I’ve put in a lot of miles. I was in J-town from ’82 to ’88. Then I made my first stop in Indiana, PA at WDAD AM/WQMU-FM.

From there it was off to AM 1160 WCCS which was then in Homer City. From there I landed in Altoona working for Froggy 98. I made my second stop in Indiana at WQMU in ’99 doing afternoons and moved onto my second ‘tour of duty’ in Johnstown in ’01, this time at WQKK, 92.1, ‘the Rock’.

Then, it was off to West (by God!) Virginia to be Promotions Director at a five station radio cluster in Parkersburg in ’03. I did the mid-day shift at WHBR-FM, “the BEAR”, did lots of shifts at the Parkersburg Froggy 99 and at the heritage ‘stick’ in the mid-Ohio Valley, WXIL-FM. I’ve been an electrician and I’ve worked for a good friend of mine who owns two funeral homes in the Indiana area. I have been the “stadium announcer” for Purchase Line High School football for the better part of 27 years.

But, by far, I’m most happy being an “on-air” guy and I’m way happy to have found a home with the Renda Corporation! As I often say: Thanks for hangin’ out with me, mornings 6a-10a, on your station for ‘PXZ 104.1 FM!
