
If you were wondering where firefighters were headed after the sirens went off last night in Sykesville. The Sykesville Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to a reported structure fire at a national retailer on West Liberty Street in Sykesville.
According to the Jefferson County Fire Wire Facebook page, the caller reported a strong smell of a possible electrical fire. Upon investigation firefighters found that a broken furnace belt was the cause.
Reynoldsville Volunteer Fire Company assisted at the scene.
