Punxsutawney Area High School reported three new positive student cases of COVID-19 Monday.
According to the Punxsy Spirit, these students are now under quarantine along with 23 other identified as close contacts. No teachers or staff are known to have been exposed due to close contact with any of the three students who tested positive.
Jefferson County reported 12 additional COVID-19 and one new death Monday. The county’s total case count has reached 2,427 and the death toll is at 70.
Indiana County reported 19 new cases and no additional deaths for a total of 4,681 cases and a death toll of 145.
Clearfield County reported 21 new cases and no new deaths. Clearfield’s case total has reached 5,371 and the death toll remains at 88.
Statewide there were 3,934 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the state’s total to 807,867.
