
State Police in Punxsutawney are investigating two Jefferson County thefts.
The first is a reported theft of an ATV in Young Township. Troopers say someone stole an ATV from a 51-year-old Punxsutawney man at a location along Scotland Ave. Ext. sometime between Jan. 2 and Jan. 23.
Police are investigating another theft that was reported in October. Police say it happened at a residence along Route 119 Bell Township when two rings valued at over $5,000 were stolen.
The investigation is ongoing.

State Police have released the details about a crash in Young Township of Jefferson County that was reportedly the result of a pursuit and ended in a life flight from the scene.
Troopers say on Monday Jan. 25, just after 11 am State Police in Punxsutawney responded to a reported robbery on Main Street in McCalmont Township. Police discovered two men broke into the victims home, assaulted her and took multiple items before fleeing the scene. The suspects were located, continued to flee from law enforcement, and crashed along Route 36 in Young Township. The suspects were then life flighted for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.

State Police are investigating a burglary that occurred in Oliver Township of Jefferson County on Jan. 12.
Troopers say, someone broke into a location along Coolspring Road in Oliver Township through a back door, stole a cash register and broke a countertop off a table.
Police listed the victim as a 57-year-old Brockway man.
The investigation is ongoing.
