
State Police in Punxsutawney are investigating a burglary that was reported at a residence in Chest Township of Clearfield County on Friday.
Troopers say they responded to a residence on Thompson Town Road just before 5 p.m. When a 38-year-old female victim reported that clothing items were missing from the residence.

Felony charges have been filed against a 56-year-old man of Washington PA who allegedly stole and forged a check from a local township.
According to ExploreJeffersonPA.com, the Secretary of Treasury for Young Township of Jefferson County contacted State Police in October to report that he had written a check in June to an Indiana County company for services provided to the township.
The Secretary of Treasury told police the check had been mailed and cleared July 1. He reported after retrieving the bank copies of the check he found that the Washington man had forged his name on the check and cashed it. The man allegedly took several checks from a business’s mailbox, forged, and cashed them on July 1.
Charges were filed on Jan. 22. A preliminary hearing is set for October 31.

A 31-year-old Punxsutawney man is facing charges after allegedly shoving a loaded gun in a pregnant woman’s face and threatening to kill her.
According to ExploreJeffersonPA.com, Punxsutawney Borough Police were dispatched to a location on Indiana Street for a report of a domestic incident involving a firearm on Jan. 22 just before 8:30 p.m.
Police took him into custody at the scene and spoke with the female victim, who alleged the man got angry with her, pulled his gun and threatened to kill her.
A preliminary hearing is set for Feb. 1
