PURCHASE LINE SCHOOL BOARD TO APPROVE CONTRACT WITH SECURITY SERVICES COMPANY

The Purchase Line School Board is set to meet tonight, and along with some personnel decisions, the board will look at security training.

On the draft agenda is a contract with Gittings Protective Security for security and threat preparedness services for the district.  This will include consulting with officers and employees, training staff, and developing a comprehensive threat preparedness manual among other services.  The contract will run for 12 months starting on March 9^th, and will cost the district $7,499.

The board will also look at approving a contract with the International Center for Leadership in Education to develop a professional development plan based on the district’s innovative learning system focusing on Covid-19 learning loss and understanding and applying strategies of best instructional practices.  The contract, to be paid for using ESSA II grant funds, is not expected to exceed $90,140.
