
The Purchase Line School Board is set to meet tonight, and along with some personnel decisions, the board will look at security training.
On the draft agenda is a contract with Gittings Protective Security for security and threat preparedness services for the district. This will include consulting with officers and employees, training staff, and developing a comprehensive threat preparedness manual among other services. The contract will run for 12 months starting on March 9th, and will cost the district $7,499.
The board will also look at approving a contract with the International Center for Leadership in Education to develop a professional development plan based on the district’s innovative learning system focusing on Covid-19 learning loss and understanding and applying strategies of best instructional practices. The contract, to be paid for using ESSA II grant funds, is not expected to exceed $90,140.
