
A Reynoldsville woman has been charged with felony theft for allegedly stealing over $11,000 worth of jewelry from her employer.
According to GANT News, 56-year-old Jodi Wingate was working as a cleaning woman for the victim at a Treasure Lake home in November when the victim realized some of her jewelry went missing on Nov. 17th. She asked Wingate for help locating the jewelry and Wingate said that she could not find them.
On Nov. 18th the victim noticed more jewelry had went missing. The next day the victim called “Cash for Gold” to see if Wingate had been there and an employee reportedly confirmed she had.
Wingate then reportedly admitted to the victim she had pawned the jewelry and reportedly provided a voluntary statement to police.
A preliminary hearing is set for March 5.
