In an update of a story we had for you last week, a 29-year-old DuBois man, identified as Corey Sheldon Bigelow, is facing felony charges for fleeing from police and striking a squad car.
According to GANT News, Bigelow and a woman were asleep in a vehicle in the parking lot of a Pennfield business on Feb. 14th when state police blocked the car in an attempt to keep them from leaving because police had a warrant for Bigelow’s arrest.
Instead of surrendering, Bigelow allegedly struck one of the cars, fled the scene, and caused a chase that ended with a traffic accident.
Bigelow is charged with felony fleeing or attempting to elude police, two counts of aggravated assault, among other related charges.
He is lodged in the county jail in lieu of monetary bail with a preliminary hearing set for Wednesday.
