
Pennsylvanians will be able to camp out at over two dozen state parks including Clear Creek in Jefferson County and Parker Dam in Clearfield County the night before trout season opens.
A total of 34 state parks will allow visitors to camp out on the night of April 2nd, in preparation of the opening of trout season the following day.
Trout season was originally scheduled to start April 17th, and those who made reservations for that date will have the fee waived for changing their reservation. Anglers will have more than 2,200 campsites to choose from. Those are have yet to reserve a site are encouraged to do so as quickly as possible, by logging onto dcnr.pa.gov/stateparks.
