A Fallentimber man pleaded guilty Monday during sentencing court for his part in threatening a woman and the death of her two dogs.
According to GANT News, 24-year-old Joseph Isiah Brown pleaded guilty to conspiracy/aggravated cruelty to animals, conspiracy/terroristic threats among other related charges and was sentenced to five months to one year in the county jail and two years consecutive probation.
The charges stem from an incident that occurred at a residence in Jordan Township of Clearfield County in September of 2019 when Brown and two other men confronted a female occupant of the residence. Authorities say the second man, who we won’t name due to his age, reportedly pointed a shotgun at the woman and demanded she get down on the ground. She then released two dogs for protection. The second man then reportedly shot and killed both dogs.
In October of 2019, a witness told police what she had seen and reportedly said she was told to keep quiet or the men would hurt her family.
Authorities say the second man received a two-year-to 20-year state prison sentence in October of 2020 for this and several other offenses.
35-year-old William Cochran, the third man involved, was sentenced to 36 months to eight years in state prison for this and several other cases in September of 2020.
