The DuBois Area Middle School is temporarily closed Friday after it was notified of its eighth confirmed case of COVID-19 within a rolling 14-day window.
According to the Punxsy Spirit, district administrators said in a release Thursday that contact tracing identified individuals who had been in close contact with someone who has a confirmed case of COVID-19 and instructed them to quarantine.
Instruction today will be through Google Classroom. Families with technology issues are asked to contact the technology help desk at 814-299-4866.
The middle school is expected to reopen for in-person instruction on Monday.
