Katie and Shanon talk about the variety of services Center for Community Resources has to offer residents in all of Pennsylvania’s counties. Katie noted that some locations offer walk-in services while others offers mobile services. She said all locations offer services to assist individuals experiencing a crisis in getting the assistance and resources they need. They also provide a national suicide prevention hotline, as well as a text and chat line. All services are 24/7 and can be accessed on Center for Community Resources website. Katie noted that all counties have a local crisis line as well.

Shanon talked about their new helpline called Persevere PA through PEMA. Shanon said the number (1-855-284-2494) is statewide and it is for individuals who are looking for COVID-19 related resources. She also noted that it is a mental health warm-line for individuals who may be struggling with the isolation or other feelings brought on by the pandemic. Shanon also noted that they are offering a support group for individuals who are 25 and older who have attempted suicide. She said the support group is offered through zoom and it focuses on recovery, safety planning, and helping individuals process the trauma of the event.
