Punxsutawney Borough Council honored a long-time member of Punxsutawney Central Fire Department at the start of Monday’s meeting.
Mayor Rich Alexander presented a plaque to Kenneth Pearce for his 45 years of service with the fire department and thanked him for his dedication.
Council members also heard concerns regarding the proposed Arby’s restaurant. Several residents raised concerns regarding issues of re-zoning and its impact on the neighborhood.
The borough will hold a public meeting at 6:00 pm on May 19 at the Punxsutawney Area Community Center regarding the proposed Arby’s Restaurant.
