
The Jefferson County Commissioners discussed their plan to reopen county buildings at last week’s meeting.
Chris Clark of the Department of Emergency Services presented state department of health COVID-19 statistics to the commissioners and noted that the county’s COVID-19 cases remain low and a significant number of residents are fully vaccinated.
The commissioners plan to reopen county buildings on June 1 with the exception of already secured buildings such a the jail. The commissioners noted that the mask mandate and other safety measures will still be in place.
