Unofficial results show two of Jefferson County’s contested primary races have been decided.
ExploreJeffersonPA.com reports that Incumbent District Attorney Jeff Burkett is leading for the Republican nomination over Joe Ryan with 4,298 to 2,624 votes. With no democratic candidate on the ballot, Burkett will run unopposed in November.
For Jefferson County Treasurer, James Moon VanSteenberg has a lead over James Jim Mackie of 3,875 to 2,951 votes for the Republican nomination – also with no democratic candidates on the ballot.
