
State Police have released the details of several crashes that happened the in area recently.
Police say two were seriously injured following a crash in Glen Campbell Borough of Indiana County on Saturday. Police say the crash occurred around 5:40 pm on State Route 286 at its intersection with First Ave when a vehicle driven by 62-year-old Edward Miloser of Glen Campbell attempted to enter State Route 286 from First Avenue and failed to yield to oncoming traffic. His vehicle was then struck by another vehicle driven by 20-year-old Elizabeth Parkhurst of Mahaffey.
Miloser sustained suspected serious injuries and was flown to Conemaugh Hospital in Johnstown by medical helicopter. Police say Parkhurst also sustained suspected serious injuries and was transported to Punxsutawney Area Hospital and later transferred to Altoona Hospital.
A Rossiter man was injured in a two-vehicle crash that happened on Thursday in Summerville Borough of Jefferson County just before noon on State Route 28. Police say a vehicle driven by 73-year-old Gary Smith of Rossiter was attempted to cross over State Route 28 from Carrier Street and failed to yield to oncoming traffic. Smith’s vehicle was then struck by another vehicle driven by 39-year-old Raymond Stewart of Freeport.
Smith sustained injuries of unknown severity and was transported to Penn Highlands Hospital in Brookville by Jefferson County EMS. Stewart and a passenger in each vehicle were not injured.
State Police are investigating a reported hit-and-run that happened on Friday in Gaskill Township of Jefferson County around 4:30 am. Police say an unknown driver was traveling along Mill Road and struck a mailbox, newspaper box, and a wooden flower planter box.

State Police in Punxsutawney say a 41-year-old Reynoldsville woman was jailed on Friday for resisting arrest, DUI, and possession of drugs and paraphernalia following a disabled vehicle report in Perry Township of Jefferson County.
Troopers say they responded to a location along Valier Drive around 11:30 pm for a report of a disabled vehicle blocking a Perry Township Volunteer Fire Department Garage Bay. Police say the woman appeared to be under the influence of drugs, was reportedly found to be in possession of drugs and paraphernalia, and resisted arrest.
The woman was taken into custody and lodged in Jefferson County Jail. Police did not release the woman’s name.

A Punxsutawney woman is facing corruption of minors charges related to truancy issues involving a minor in her case.
According to ExploreJeffersonPA.com, Punxsutawney Borough Police were informed by a judge on June 2 that 20-year-old Breanna Lynn Behrendt had failed to comply with her order related to the truancy of a child in her care. Behrendt reportedly failed to arrive at the hearing and was told to respond to the magistrate’s office as required by subpoena. The judge informed her that as guardian of the child in question, she was required to make sure the child completed school requirements.
The child reportedly missed 59 days of school between February 25 and May 5. Behrendt reportedly failed to correct the truancy issue and did not set any additional required obligations for the child to complete his education.
A preliminary hearing is set for June 30.

A Clarion man will face several felony charges following a motorcycle pursuit and struggle with police that happened on June 5.
According to ExploreClarion.com, Clarion Borough Police attempted to stop a motorcycle, driven by 28-year-old Jessie Dotterer around 11 pm after observing several traffic violations as it traveled down Church Street in Clarion. Authorities say Dotterer did not stop and kept going through town down several streets, at high rates of speed, and through a parking lot before stopping and then attempting to flee on foot. Officers say a struggle ensued while trying to apprehend Dotterer but he was taken into custody.
Dotterer faces felony charges of Fleeing or Attempting to Elude an Officer, Aggravated Assault, a misdemeanor charge of DUI, among other related offenses.
